From the outside, the style of the church in Vaudreching is not very unusual. The parish, which was not rich, stood in the shadow of the rich Benedictine abbey of Sainte-Croix de Bouzonville, to which it belonged. Only its stucco ceiling and especially its age make it really valuable.

[commentaire2] => The main entrance, which is closed today, was located on the north side of the nave and represented for the builders the open entrance to the pagan people coming from the north who had not yet been evangelised. It is precisely the threshold of this door, dug very deeply by the footsteps of those who entered in the past centuries, that allows us to guess the very early age of this sanctuary.

It is impossible to determine the date of its construction, but the fact that it is oriented suggests that it is very old. The choir faces east and the tower at the end of the choir represents Christ ascending to heaven, taking with him the people represented in the nave.
